CRUELTY-FREE + VEGAN CONDOMS.

Coming at you with something a little different today: cruelty free condoms. And funky ones at that As I say, not my usually vegan makeup gig, but I'm all for encouraging safe + sensible sex so I thought it important to share!

ONE make cruelty-free condoms that are packaged in really funky little individual packets with different designs on. The selections pictured above are all from their Mixed Selection pack, which can be seen here. (Not an affiliate link or anything, just in case you wanted to read more about their different options.)

I reached out to the company to find our their vegan status + I'm happy to report that they are cruelty-free and vegan, but not officially vegan. That old phrase. For clarity, here's our correspondence below...

The only testing we consistently perform on our ONE condoms is physical testing that does not involve animals - we use electronic equipment specialised in testing condoms.

All ONE brand condoms do not contain animal products or derivatives, such as Casein. All our condoms are made from natural rubber latex, dusted with cornstarch and lubricated with silicone oil. The silicone fluid used is polydimethylsiloxane, an industry standard that is pure silicone fluid. Our condoms do not contain milk proteins or lamb intestines either. However, our ONE brand condoms are not vegan certified.

So as you can see, although they don't hold an official vegan certification, they don't contain animal products. It's kind of like biscuits saying may contain milk on the package, and it's completely up to you as to whether you consider them vegan or not. I am simply a humble messenger.

If you are interested, you can pick these up at Superdrug and online here. Always practice safe sex kids x
