There are so many terms you hear in the beautysphere - natural brands, green brands, mineral makeup - and it's easy to confuse the imagery used along side these with the term 'cruelty-free'. But in reality, these are all different things. A brand can be natural and still test on animals. Confusing times.


It was a real mission trying to get my hands on this Lorac Unzipped Palette last year - I had to pay a whole lot in customs and for shipping. Now, going cruelty-free, I see that the burgundy shades contain carmine (crushed bugs!!) which is pretty gross. This discovery sent my mind racing as to whether the brand is cruelty-free or not...
